The Apex Media Room

Project Overview:
We designed and installed a luxurious smart media room for a high-end residential client in a modern waterfront villa. The goal was to convert an underutilized 450 sq ft bonus room into a sophisticated, multi-functional entertainment space that rivals commercial cinemas while maintaining seamless smart home integration and elegant aesthetics.

Visual Excellence:
120-inch motorized projection screen paired with a 4K laser projector and ultra-short-throw option for bright ambient viewing. Large-format 85" OLED TV as secondary display.

Immersive Audio:
7.2.4 Dolby Atmos surround sound system with ceiling-mounted height speakers and dual subwoofers for powerful, room-filling sound.

Smart Automation:
Full Crestron home automation system with a 10" wall-mounted touch panel, iOS/Android app control, and voice integration (Alexa & Google Assistant).

Lighting & Ambiance:
Motorized blackout shades, tunable LED cove lighting, and customizable scene presets (Movie Mode, Sports Mode, Gaming Mode, Party Mode).

Comfort Systems:
Integrated smart HVAC zoning and air purification for optimal climate control during long viewing sessions.

Additional Details:
Acoustic wall panels and ceiling treatments for superior sound quality, hidden cable management, and sleek dark-tone interior design with starlight ceiling feature.

Smart Integration:
All systems work together flawlessly. One command (“Movie Time”) automatically closes the shades, dims the lights to cinematic levels, lowers the screen, powers on the projector and audio system, and adjusts the temperature.
